Glass Skye Jewelry’s own Equinox Style Gold Wire Wrapped Drop Pendant
My design includes:
Labradorite (smooth, natural): approx. 11 mm
Moonstone (smooth, natural): about 11 mm
Sunstone (smooth, natural): about 12 mm
I hand selected and wire wrapped each beautiful stone and suspended them together on a gold plated tear drop open pendant suspended from gold plated link chain…
We call this one “Eric’s Equinox”
And by definition equinox is:
The meaning of Equinox is the date when day and night are the same length. An equinox occurs twice a year (around 20 March and 22 September), when the tilt of the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the center of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth’s equator. The name “equinox” is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, night and day are about equal length. (Wikipedia)
Labradorite is highly sought after for its incredible iridescent properties, often appearing in the lustrous form of blue and green metallic tints.
Moonstone is known to exhibit a distinct sheen under certain lighting conditions, and it is the sheen which renders moonstone one of the most remarkable gemstones available today.
Sunstone is typically orange to reddish in color and its spangled appearance is reminiscent of the sun, hence its name ‘sunstone’. There are actually a few different varieties of sunstone available today.
This design is made to order.
The wire wrapping around the stones will be slightly different than the picture as it depends on the drilling. This makes every necklace truly unique and I make sure that it is as beautiful. Please also note that each stone is different, natural, unique and beautiful 😉
